With a growing number of sources on the internet, it seems these days, there are many instances of quotes that not only have been quoted a hundred times over, but are pulled out of context from which they were intended. In All About Eve, Margot Channing (played by Davis) comes downstairs to find her lover who has been keeping her waiting, entertaining her ambitious young assistant. Irritated and suspicious, Margot makes her presence known with great sarcasm:
